I took the day off work today – how I miss my four day weeks from 5 years ago! I spent way too much time fiddling around with blog templates and themes, got some washing done, started a knitting project, read a book. It was a quiet day.
I wrote a lot last night and I’m still processing that thinking a bit. I have promised baking for a colleague tomorrow and have a challenge I want to get my head around with a new software solution (me and shiny, new tech tools)
I was talking tonight with some colleagues about the future of technology and our children’s world. We talk so positively of the world in ten years time and yet we are so far from peace and justice in our own society and internationally. Apparently there was a peace rally at the Cenotaph today.
In that day I will make a covenant for them with the beasts of the field, the birds in the sky and the creatures that move along the ground. Bow and sword and battle I will abolish from the land, so that all may lie down in safety. Hosea 2:18
